Had been advised against it two months ago by the local Police Sup, but the situations seems to have improved now. It’s about as safe as it always is… the time before last I went there we got held in a village by Maoist rebels, and had to be escorted back to India by Black Cat Commandos. But then, that’s what made that trip the experience of a lifetime. Fret not, enjoy Nepal… it’s a beautiful country with great people. Would advise a trek on the Annapurna Base Camp circuit and more time in Pokhra than Kathmandu.
