actually my profile pic is from my trip to Vegas ;-).
The best way to get from the Stratosphere to the other cool casinos on the strip is by using the Monorail. You can buy multiple-day passes to make it cheaper and you can access the other cool sites on the strip.
If you go to the half-price ticked booth, located in the M&M building on the other side of the strip (by the Excalibur, Luxor area) you can get great prices on shows and attractions. Be sure to get there early for good bargains (I try to hit it by 10 or 11).
Fun shows on your end are the Star Trek Experience (a MUST SEE if you’ve ever liked the show) and the Amazing Johnathan (a great comedy magician), which you can typically buy cheap at the half-price booth.
Also check out all the free shows you can- the fountains at Bellagio, Sirens of TI at Treasure Island, statue fight at Cesar’s Palace are just some of the few. If you’re into sight-seeing and doing the tourist experience of Vegas, BE PREPARED TO WALK. Bring good walking shoes. Even with the Monorail, these casinos are HUGE, and getting from one to the next can be quite a hike.
March is ideal weather-wise. I’ve done that ride at the top of the Stratosphere before; it’s quite exhillerating. Plus the revolving restaurant is fun too; some of the best views in Vegas.
