Hi Tyler. I went to India in january, from mumbai to dehli but I never booked ahead and that worked out fine for me. The one thing that is good to have in order is where you should stay. Varanasi was nice.

Going from varanasi to mumbai, I would recommend you to stop in sanchi, a busride from bophal. It’s not that much to see there, besides a buddhist tempel but after having spent time in dehli and varanasi you’ll want to relax before heading to mumbai. In Mumbai take the boat to the elephant island, a nice trip.
