Not sure where you are staying..or if you will be driving or taking out public transit system. I like to eat different types of foods. The Danforth Street that BooberFraggle recommended for Spanish food is also known for its great Greek food! There so many restaurants to choose from. And it is a busy area dying the summer months. If you’re here August 10-12, 2007 you can attend http://www.tasteofthedanforth.com/ I go every year! You’ll have lots of good eats and meet many nice people! I also love Jamaican food! Try http://www.therealjerk.com/ Great roti and jerk pork/chicken! I like Buddhist vegetarian at Simon’s Wok at 797 Gerrard Street East. They have great reviews and if you go for lunch they have great specials for under $5.00! Soup, rice and entry and tea! You can’t go wrong! And if you are along Gerrard Street East you have to visit India town for the Indian food and the beautiful Indian saris! I like going to Lahore Tikka House 1365 Gerrard Street East…mmm….fresh naan and chicken tikka! The flavours of Pakistan! For Burritos http://www.burritoboyz.ca/ ! Cheap eats and great tasting! Small place, but lineups out the door and down the street! I also enjoy lunches at Parsi which is authentic Persian food at 141 Spadina Avenue below Queen Street West. And if you’re on Queen street West shopping..there are lots of nice places to shop and eat there too! It is also close to Chinatown! You have to go there too! Try Vietnamese food! I love Xe Lua 254 Spadina Avenue. You’ll recognize a large train on its sign! I call it the train…cos there’s a train on the sign!
If you could…go to the museum! It has changed a lot! New exhibits and new building extension! http://www.rom.on.ca/ Go and see! Also the Ontario Gallery of Art is changing! http://www.ago.net/navigation/flash/frameset.cfm You can also see the OCAD building next door…love it or hate it…it is something to talk about! See my attached pic!
Tell me what you like to eat and I will try to help you! But these are a few of my favourite places! Enjoy your stay! And the food!

My husband and I are omnivores, love diners, and are suckers for anything kitschy or old school.
We went to both the Royal Museum and the Ontario Gallery of Art back in ‘01, and would love to make return visits to both.

Yes – comfort food works for us, but not just in the ‘meatloaf and mashed potatoes’ sense. We like places that have a “mom’s in the kitchen cooking” vibe, especially with different types of cuisine.
