All the suggestions so far have been great. On a sunny day the Space Needle is a must, and if you can catch it at sunset it is amazing. There is a website that offers a ‘Seattle Pass’ which allows you to go to all the touristy spots at a discounted rate. My only other suggestion would be to drink lots of coffee while here, there are so many little shops, most of them amazing. My personal favorite is http://www.espressovivace.com/intro.html Their mocha is heavenly, and I don’t normally drink them, if you get hooked you can also mail order their beans.

I dont really drink coffee, but if I’m in Seattle I feel like I have to give it a whirl.
(hmmm, does that mean I’d feel the need to smoke pot and get a hooker if I go to amsterdam? I hope not! no offense all you amsterdamanians! this is my brain on lack of sleep….)
I don’t like chocolate either, but on the two or three occasions that I’ve had mochas, I actually enjoyed them, so maybe that’s what I’ll try in seattle. I think I got one other reccomendation for that coffee shop, so I’ll check it out.

At vivace, they will even make a cute little leaf out of milk. Its almost too pretty to drink.
Also, the Seattle Pass is definately a must if you are going to see everything. You will save money. You may also want to jump on the duck tours, as cheesy as they look.
