It’s supposed to be much colder than it is now, there is a lack of snow at the moment. But usually it’s around 30 F at the highest or 23 at the lowest, though it can feel much colder so warm hat and mittens on.
Everything is still open in the winter, the city doesn’t close.
January isn’t exactly a silly time to visit, but it’s not the best, in my humble opinion—I always feel so miserable from the lack of light during this month. I’d rather suggest May or September, those are the best months in my opinion, but come whenever.

I agree – May or September. I love Stockholm in the summer but if you want to get the best view of Stockholm as it normally is – May and September is great. I also like sunny October a lot. Rainy October and November is the worst.

Mmm, but you guys say this because you’re Swedish. I think for foreigners, it’s much more “Nordic” in winter. That said, I love the place and would go any time of year :))
