A question about this place:
A couple of friends and myself are going to Rome for New Years, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of what to do on New Years' Eve? Has anyone been during this time before?

Depends on your cup of tea… what do you like doing? Clubbing? Concerts? Going along with the crowds in the streets? The options are many, as in any big city.

When the time gets close, you may want to check the events scheduled for NYE on Wanted In Rome, which is the bible for expats here.

Thanks so much for responding and giving me a link to the ‘bible’!
I think following the crowds will probably be what we end up doing.. but any recommendations for clubs, just in case (because, who doesn’t like to dance on new years eve?)?

i went to italy during this time and it was sooo romantic i went to the lodge in north venance. there are a good amount of people but its not too loud and they have amazing food at a very low price
