i’ve always lived in hongkong for free since my family lives there. however, i tried to look for a decent cheap hotel for my boyfriend when he was planning to go there, and was shocked by the prices. we live in causewaybay, so expect really expensive 5star hotels there. if you would like to have something cheap but really close to the heart of hongkong, may i suggest that you ask around for apartments. most are cheap and decent enough. as for food, god, food there is expensive. try those small restaurants in the streets. they have great cantonese food at a cheap price. also try going to mongkok, their national museum, and have a ride on their junks (the old ships). also go to ocean park, the huge buddha, victoria peak, their convention center. dont forgot to try their bullet train to go to and from the airport!

Great reply! Thanks! As for clubbing, do you have any recommendations? Good bars/clubs/etc and/or good neighborhoods for drinking and rumbling?
