Thank you kindly. I spotted the name of the place on the list of someone whose entries I was reading. “How very curious,” I thought. I mean, I live in L.A. and am, in fact, due-r West of many more places than is any South Carolina community. I did a search on Google before posting the question, but I must have been too hasty, since I didn’t come up with an answer. I think that henceforth, if anyone ever asks me where I am, I am going to declare simply, “West of Due West.”
