Back in 1982, I ate at the Sky Room on Park Street … on 43 Places

A question about this place:

Back in 1982, I ate at the Sky Room on Park Street a couple of times. Is it still around? I plan to visit Kolkata again next year and would like to look up places I've been. Thanks.

A portion of New market was burned down, and has been rebuilt. However, a lot of the old New market (Actually the name is St. Hogg’s Market, if I am not mistaken ;) ) is very much around !

BTW, this (Puja) would be a GREAT time to visit Calcutta and enjoy the festivities and the charged up atmosphere :)

I appreciate all the info! Actually, I hope to go in the Spring. I suppose I’ll try to avoid Holi, so I won’t have to dodge paint. But if I keep procrastinating on making my travel arrangements, I just might end up there during Puja after all. What sights and sites do you most recommend?
